Teaching for Equity ePortfolio

Who Am I?

Francine Estranero

As a teacher, I believe it is my job to create a safe learning space for any student who walks through my doors. It is in my duty as an educator to be revolutionary in the way that I cultivate an environment of safety, peace, and learning. I believe that there is no space for bigotry, racism, homophobia, or any other dehumanizing forms of expression in my classroom.

It is my job as an educator, to learn and to continue to grow to constantly be putting my best-self forward for my students and others in the educational space. As a physics teacher, this will be shown through the process of getting excited about the physical world and the way we inhabit it.

Teacher Education Competencies:

The artifacts presented in this ePortfolio address my commitment to the five (5) competencies of the Teacher Education program at Seattle University.
