Fall Quarter

Year 1: 2025 – 2026

Artifact 1:

This is a presentation that fully encompasses my Community Walk. The assignment asked us to walk around our neighborhood and to look for certain characteristics throughout the geographical location of where we were. I am not in a classroom so I decided to showcase the neighborhood where I work and also where I live. These differences were a really good way at exploring Strand 2, which focuses on Authentic Partnerships. I found that although I’ve only been living in my current neighborhood for a couple of months, it definitely strengthened my ties to the people in my community and the spaces that are available for my neighbors. We listened to the Brain Architects podcast, “Place Matters” and it really set into perspective how geographical location affects so much of human development.

Artifact 2:

This assignment was more of a focus on my identity through the things that I read and how that developed and shaped me as a professional and a future educator. It stuck out with me as something worth archiving because through it I was able to really look at how I was formed through my literacy and how that affects me now as a future educator. This assignment focuses on Strand 1, which highlights the development of my own identity as a social justice focused educator.
